The COVID-19 public health crisis is an unprecedented situation.
While Tangram has continued to support our clients through this difficult time, working in accordance with our preparedness plan and following guidelines from health officials to keep our employees and clients safe, the unfortunate reality is that this pandemic has put a strain on our services, staff, and supplies. Here's how:
- Tangram has been fortunate to be able to offer some of our services virtually or through telemedicine. However, some services are unable to be offered in this manner, causing a loss of revenue.
- Staff from services that have been temporarily restructured or suspended have been redeployed to other areas, as we are able to do so. Furthermore, as the pandemic spreads and more people become exposed or infected, Tangram anticipates that our staff numbers will decrease, causing increased onboarding and overtime costs
Supplies:
- Tangram, like other healthcare providers, is working diligently to find personal protective equipment like masks, gloves, and gowns, and disinfecting agents. The nationwide shortage of these supplies is leading to much higher prices. Tangram continues to work with our suppliers and community organizations to ensure that we can secure as many of these items as possible to protect the health and safety of our employees and clients.
We know there will be far-reaching financial repercussions due to COVID-19, but the full impact is not yet known.
